Heinz | | How to Unlock Gmail for a New Email Program or Service Is it the slippery ground where cows do graze, or those same cows' manure? Either way, the "cowslip" may have gotten its name from the places where it is often found. Another name for the characteristic flower so common to spring in vast regions of Asia and Europe is, of course, "keyflower" — and a glance at its keyring-like pendant seems to leave little doubt about that name's origin. Now, let's pick up key flower (metaphorically, of course; it's not spring) and convince Gmail to open for an email program to which it has closed, so far, POP and IMAP: Tried to set up Gmail in a new email program or service, and all you got were error messages and warnings? Here's how to prevent Gmail from blocking a legitimate email client. | Know the iCloud Mail Message and Attachment Size Limits It is night. All heating is off. The year is 1854. In Göttingen, Germany, two men around 50 touch a glass that is wrapped in a metallic foil with a globe, also made of metal. They are about to measure electrostatically (using a Coulomb balance) the current that has transferred from the glass — a Leyden jar and so a form of capacitor — to the sphere. Before, they have measured electromagnetically (using a galvanometer) the same jar's charge. Wilhelm Weber and Rudolf Kohlrausch did all this several times. Then, they divided the averaged measurements (electromagnetic / electrostatic charge). The result was 4.39450 x 10⁸ m/s. Divided by √2, they got 3.10738 x 10⁸ m/s or — just about exactly the speed of light in vacuüm. Weber even used the symbol c for his (related) constant. How c came to be the symbol for the speed of light in a vacuüm and what happened to that constant qua speed limit are long, of course, and famous stories; in the meantime, let's turn to other values that are limits (though perhaps less fixed ones): Emails can be too big for iCloud Mail. Let the water boil down, take out the blackthorn rind and dry the concentrate outside. Add red wine to the powder over coal whenever you need — ink. I have, alas, found conflicting information on the UV stability of this brown ink described with much more practical detail in Theophilus Presbyter's schedula diversarum artium . Until I get a hold of some red wine and water (and dried blackthorn bark), I'm not sure at all what it takes to erase lines and letters drawn with thorn ink. I've gotten a hold of iCloud Mail, though, and tried erasing folders: Have a folder in iCloud Mail that serves no purpose and never sees a message? Concise words evoking concrete pictures characterize this Ezra Pound two-liner (In a Station at the Metro) — and Imagism, a poetic movement led by Pound in the early 20th century. Imagism abhorred abstractions and words not apt to make the picture sharper. The imagist's poems' haiku quality — hinting at more than the well-defined literal meaning — is not description either, though.
